september issue...

I currently have about 25 pounds of magazines awaiting me.  After kids go to sleep tonight, I plan to dig-in.

Every summer growing up we spent the month of August in Bethany Beach, Delaware,  I can remember riding my bike into town everyday, waiting for the new issue of Seventeen to arrive at Rhodes Five & Dime.  I would load it into my basket and spend the next several hours on the beach turning down the corners of the pages I admired.

I still do it today, although now my taste in periodicals has changed.  I still check my local grocery store every day until I see my favorite September issues.

Minted is offering 30 free mommy cards just for registering on their site.  Minted is a great site for invitations, holiday cards and personalized stationary.

Mommy cards are a great alternative to jotting your number on whatever scrap of paper you can dig out of your purse!  Often I have to write my cell phone number or my personal email address on the back of my business card in a personal or school situation.  This is a much better (and cuter) alternative.

Back to School Shopping

Back to school shopping for three boys gets expensive - especially when they are Imelda-Marcos'-In-Training.  My oldest two are obsessed with shoes.  Frequently they will email me images of their favorite styles.  I may need to introduce them to Pinterest!

Rack Room shoes has a great sale going on - buy one-get one half off.  We scored two pair of Converse All Stars for $54!  They had top brands and decent prices.  I liked their choices - I may have to sneak back and buy myself a pair!  I love a good throwback!
